Hi Folks,

here are your humble admins speaking again.

It came to our knowledge, that one of our members was copying the work of others and posted them as own.
Thank you to RogueMudblood for letting us know.
We kicked the person out and removed the pics in question from the group.

Kitteh-Pawz and me, Finnyanne had a talk about that and came to the following decisions.

First we advice to take a closer look to our Hints and Tricks folder

                                       unforgettable-time.deviantart.…

There you can find useful advice, how to track down your own artwork and find out, if it is misused.

Furthermore we set up two new rules.

1. We do not accept photographies without camera data anymore.
2. According to the new rule, we decrease the amount of submittions per day from 5 to 3, because we have to look at every  photography, if the camera data is there.

So when you post your photographies, make sure that the camera data is provided, too.

We set up these new rules, to protect the artwork of photographers a little bit more. We now it is nearly impossible to prevent art theft, but we try to make it a little bit harder.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards

EXIF data can be faked just as easily as someone can claim another artist's work as their own! Personally I choose to strip the data from my dA uploads (though I keep it on my pro site and in the original RAW file), so regrettably, that eliminates me from future group submissions as well.
